this would be an incredibly bad thing for the city as it would incentivize more people to drive thus increasing congestion and basically putting the city in a position where it suffers from even more gridlock than it ever had before. Cars cause traffic, giving cars more space will increase the amount of cars on the road. Cyclists will also be riding in front of cars instead of in their own lane making this an awful choice for alleviating traffic in Toronto. 4 cars parked in front of a restaurant on Bloor do not make more money than the hundreds of people that pass by on foot or by bike or even by transit
