If the stated outcome is to reduce gridlock and save people time, the solution should be a data-based way to reduce the number of cars creating gridlock on the road. Please provide the data that shows bike lanes create gridlock. I suspect you’ll find instead bike lanes help reduce the number of motor vehicles creating gridlock.
In addition, this is a city matter, not provincial.
