Hello,
I am a mom of two kids (including a high needs child) a driver, a cyclist and a pedestrian. I use tgg by e bicycle lanes in bloor and university daily to get to work safely. More importantly the bicycle lanes allow my husband , who can no longer drive due to a medical condition, contribute to the errands and taking the kids to various activities on routes that keep him and my kids safe.
If it wasn’t for the safety of the separated bike lanes i wouldn’t be able to share many of the family duties with my husband, . If they didn’t exist I would be in a car driving to places that we can much more easily bike , contributing to congestion and taking double the time to do it.
Bike lanes allow safe accessible transportation options for many torontonians who don’t have access to a car or who can’t drive .
Please don’t force Toronto to remove the bike lanes. It is a fates issue first and foremost
