1. The provincial government should have no say as to what roads have bike lanes.
2. The bike lanes that are proposed to be removed are the FASTEST way to get across the city. I bike from Dundas and Carlaw to Lansdowne and Bloor EVERY DAY and cycling is the fastest way to get across the city. Cars and public transit are slower.
3. The problem is single occupancy vehicles, not bike lanes.
4. Make PUBLIC TRANSIT AND CYCLING INFRASTRUCTURE BETTER. Literally every major European city discourages (or bans!) cars from entering the downtown core. Cars are the problem.
5. You realize people will still bike on those roads and it will result in more accidents and deaths?
