I think this is so important for the safety of everyone on the road. It will benefit not only the cyclists who will feel empowered to ride on these streets more often, but also the drivers who won’t have to feel as worried about cyclists sneaking up on them or slowing them down. This is a huge step in the right direction towards active transportation and reducing the amount of cars on the road in the city.
