I object to this Bill. The provincial government is not in a suitable position to make decisions about urban planning in Ontario cities. Urban planners hired by the respective cities have more knowledge about traffic patterns and are therefore in a better position to make decisions about the implementation of bike lines.

Furthermore, it would be economically inefficient for the Ontario government to get involved with urban planning in cities. Research conducted by the provincial government is likely to replicate efforts already funded by the municipal governments. Any decision made the provincial government risks undermining urban planning efforts made by the city.

Please scrap this bill.
