Once the bike lanes on Bloor Street West were extended, that route became my safe way to get to work five days a week. Until then biking in traffic and sharing the road along Bloor especially at Yonge was dangerous and not enjoyable. Most car traffic coming off the Bayview/Bloor exit dissipated by Bay Street so there is no commuter traffic congestion west of Yonge on Bloor. Leave the bike lanes alone and finish the Finch and Eglinton rapid transit routes if you are truly serious about dealing with congestion in a city of over three million people.
