The vast majority of trained and qualified scientists readily acknowledge that climate change is real, it is being caused by human activity, and it is already happening. Ultimately, unless all of us take steps now to stop the degradation of our planet, humanity's only home, our world will become uninhabitable.
One way to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels to produce energy is through harnessing the power of a natural force, the wind, to produce electricity. There is no reason to dismantle a partially constructed wind farm. Wind farms are now in use in many parts of the world to capture, without detrimental environmental results, clean, natural power to provide electricity to surrounding habitations and businesses.
Ontario could be - should be - a LEADER in producing clean energy. Clean energy could also provide jobs and research opportunities for many. The wind farm is already partly built. It is wasteful and expensive to remove it at this stage. It should be completed and put to use, to demonstrate a vision for the future that is based on clean, readily available, energy.
