We only have to look at California to see the true human and financial costs related to the effects of climate change. Here in Ontario, excessive amounts of water will cost taxpayers billions of dollars due to flooding resulting from a warming climate. Additional costs, if any, associated with clean energy projects will be minimal compared to the clean up costs and infrastructure repairs that will result from flooding. This is the time to go all-in on clean energy and to move further away from climate disrupting fossil fuels. We can pay less now or pay a much higher price in the near future for making the wrong decisions on clean energy.
