it is worrying that Toronto seems to be moving backwards from progress. bike lanes ensure the safety not just of people on bicycles and other vehicles that use those lanes, but also ensures the safety of pedestrians. by removing bike lanes you are condemning people to death. instead of deferring to cars, you should focus on increasing efficiency and access and support to public transport and mobility vehicles, especially for disabled people. compared to other cities in the world, especially europe, it is shameful that a city like Toronto has such a bad public transit system and so little support for bicycles and bike lanes. make this city safer by reducing the need for cars. I know you can do it and I believe in you. keep and increase bike lanes. boost public transit. finish the subway line. prioritize people, especially disabled people.
