We need more data to understand what happens if all the cyclists decide to drive instead.
Ten years ago, I would have been fully a driver. And now, because of the safety of the cycle lanes, I have reduced my driving considerably in going downtown.
We need a fully comprehensive plan that includes planning for the increased density in our cities, and particularly Toronto, before we start ripping up bike lanes.
If there was a manner that cyclists could actually reasonably travel without using a street like Bloor, then certainly that's something that should be a consideration.
Let's not act before we have a plan because that's a waste of my taxpayer money.
