I think that this proposed bill demonstrates a gross overstepping of provincial authority into affairs which are entirely municipal and in no way represent a provincial matter. The cycling infrastructure in question is heavily utilized by cyclists everyday and provides safe passages along core transportation corridors. Without them I believe that the share of commuters who cycle to work, for groceries, etc. will drop.
The act of removing cycling infrastructure sets a dangerous precedent and may very well cause physical harm or even death to cyclists
