There is no data backed reason to remove bike lanes in Toronto.
A better cycling network will improve traffic and generate more revenue for businesses along the cycling routes.
As a motorist who is fed up with traffic in the GTA, I support bike lanes because I know they are a net benefit for traffic, individual health and low cost mobility.
Focus on getting the Eglinton Crosstown LRT operational. Why is the provincial government not holding Metrolinx accountable? Why aren't you telling people the real reason why the line is not operating? It would do more for traffic than all the time and money wasted in meddling in municipal affairs.
