Cormorants are killing vegetation on many islands on the Rideau system among other bodies of water which in turn is leading to rapid erosion. Since their numbers have been on the rise, generations of game fish are struggling because of the unnatural amount of competition.
It would be irresponsible to allow further growth of this species in Ontario and Canada.
