This proposal is moving Canada’s transportation in the wrong direction. We should be promoting more bike usage to reduce traffic and help the environment. Getting cars off of the road should be a priority for the government. Furthermore, this proposal impacts the safety of bikers who are already at high risk due to cars and careless drivers. Taking away safe bike infrastructure is going to put bikers at a higher risk for injury and mortality. I sincerely hope that this proposal is revoked and that biking infrastructure increases in our society.
