This is gross misuse of power and taxpayer dollars. It also goes against the trend of all major cities that are moving away from car-centric planning toward walkable and accessible communities. Instead of wasting money removing infrastructure that is already built and we’ll used, let’s improve the lives of people living in Toronto by investing in reliable transit and other alternate modes of transportation to ease car congestion, or any of the countless other issues that this money could be used for like housing or services.
