With Bill 212, the Ford government is choosing to actively put Ontario residents, including me and my family, in danger. My father commutes to work on his bike and is currently able to do so mostly on bike lanes. By removing them, I worry that my dad is at a much higher risk of getting hit by a car. Additionally, bike lanes have been hugely successful at encouraging more people to bike. If we really want less traffic and congestion, the solution is to encourage non car modes such as biking and public transit.
