Bill 212 is obviously a political ploy to score points and undercut Toronto.
"Traffic" is NOT a good thing. Putting more of it back in our city helps no-one.
The bike lanes on Bloor (at least in Toronto, can't comment on whatever is going on in Etobicoke), on Yonge, and on University are great. They're a good alternative to driving or walking, make our streets safer, and improve our streetscape to be a little less of a hellscape of exhaust and noise and dangerous vehicles right next to the sidewalk.
If people want to come into the city from a distance, take the subway. That's what it's for.
