it literally makes the street safer for bike riders who don’t have, can’t afford or simply choose not to drive to and from a destination.
the space the lanes take up does not affect the space cars need to drive on the roads its like a 2m buffer. how does this accommodate cars?
the overall argument about traffic has more to do with the gardiner construction that will go on for just under 2 years. removing the bike lanes will make no difference unless you want to pause or speed up the massive gardiner project…it will just make it more unsafe for us riders, make it make sense
