I am writing to oppose the proposal for an interim sewer that the corrupt development at the Ontario Place site. This proposal not only plans to destroy decades of work by the City of Toronto to replace combined sewers to prevent the discharge of raw sewage into Lake Ontario, it is also completely disregards international agreements made to protect water quality and habitat in the Great Lakes, the largest source of fresh water on Earth. It was just in the 60's that pollution from domestic sewage turned Lake Ontario into a toxic algae soup, killing off countless fish and other wildlife and some of you are prepared to allow it to go there again.

Raw sewage and all the diseases the come with it, spilling into our fresh water sources OBVIOUSLY risks human and animal health in terms of water quality at beaches where people like to swim and take their dogs, it affects the health of wildlife and fish that people eat and it is a beyond disgusting, embarrassing and undesirable unattraction for those visiting the largest and apparently most progressive city in Canada, a supposed democratic first world country where taxpayers and citizens are ignored, lied to and betrayed by their governments to line the pockets of the wealthy while bulldozing greenspaces and decimating what little healthy ecology and biodiversity we have left.

This proposal is not in the publics interest and is a direct threat to the stability and health of the lakes ecosystem in a time of severe biodiversity loss and climate crisis. It is just one more wound in addition to the shady backroom deals made and laws broken with the Ontario Place lands and the Science Center. It only benefits foreign corporations like Therme, private interests and Doug Ford, NOT any of the taxpayers forced to fork over up to a billion dollars for the parking lot alone while the lake they live beside, in and on is poisoned for the monetary gain of already very very rich corporations who don't care about democracy

Reject this permit proposal. So gross!!!!!!!!!!
