It is wonderful to see 1,300 affordable housing units proposed in this location. The City and Province has a desperate shortage of housing, in particular social and affordable for those struggling to afford shelter the most. The mix of market housing is one way such housing can be accomplished in a win win for the local community and all stakeholders. This is a time of desperate need and seeing bold projects that can actually make a dent in housing need versus the commonly smaller projects is a welcome change. The density is what makes the project work, in a part of the City that is in need of more affordable housing options.
