As a housing advocate with extensive experience in supporting affordable housing initiatives across Toronto and Southern Ontario, I strongly support the proposed development at 1635 Lawrence Avenue West. This project represents a critical step forward in addressing the city’s severe housing crisis by delivering over 1,300 much-needed affordable and attainable housing units.

Dream Legacy Foundation recognizes the urgency of increasing affordable housing supply and ensuring that equity-deserving and underrepresented communities have access to stable, high-quality housing. This development’s location near essential transit, employment, and community services further strengthens its potential to provide long-term benefits for residents and the broader neighborhood.

It is imperative that this project moves forward without delay. The approval of the Minister’s Zoning Order (MZO) will allow for the expedited delivery of these essential housing units, reinforcing the city’s commitment to creating inclusive, sustainable communities.
