Before you make decisions on our behalf about removing the environmental assessment requirement for York1 to build a dump in our backyard ask yourself “If someone wanted to build a garbage dump in your backyard how upset would you be?” Not to mention that the proposed site is less than 1km from the Sydenham river and that Mollys creek runs through the actual site and drains into the river!! You want to build a dump somewhere build it on the sprawling empty 100’s of acres that border the north side of the 407 east of Toronto. What cost you extra in the price of real estate could be recouped in the savings in trucking costs. It’s Toronto garbage anyway. Why should our little community make home to the garbage of a city with a population over a million people!! Give your collective heads a shake!!! What’s the matter with you guys!!
