To Mr. Ford ,
I am a resident of the community of Dresden , Ontario and the proposed project York1 has been granted to get out of an environmental assessment is going to destroy the water ways of the Great Lakes and all of the surrounding rivers we enjoy in southwestern Ontario. Not only that the proposed site is only 900m from the high school and 1 km from an elementary school which is illegal by the standards of a waste facility to be in. The truck traffic will destroy the roads and also leave garbage all over the streets which is unsafe and dangerous as it could hit little kids on the way to school or from school. This is unacceptable and it needs to locate somewhere else near Toronto as there is a lot of land they can use for it. You said in Windsor in an interview that if the people don’t want it then we won’t build it now you reverse this very unbussiness like and just letting York1 get away with illegal things that they don’t care about the town or the people of Dresden and I think you are doing the same. No need for this landfill to be here at all.
