We lose more wild spaces in this province every day. Not only could this bill result in massive destruction of habitats, but in the extinction of some of our beautiful native wildlife. We have a duty to protect our beautiful province and the living things that help make it so beautiful. Nobody wants protections for our most vulnerable wildlife removed. The potential overturn of this bill is despicable.
Further, it would be a massive stain on the Conservative legacy- as a party who cuts taxes, yes, but also cuts our wild spaces and wipes out species we will never be able to get back. After the green belt and Ontario Place controversies and giving away of public spaces, this will enrage the public.
Whether for the wildlife or for personal gain, it is only beneficial for this government to leave this bill in and its protections in place.
