This proposed dump site is NOT good for the town of Dresden and surrounding areas. Why were residents lead to believe that an environmental assessment was required only to be told with a re-elected party that it no longer requires an assessment. The province of Ontario is a large geographical area, so why does a dump need to be built within a few kilometers of a high school, elementary school, daycare and hundreds or residences and beside a stream which leads to the Sydenham River. This is a large agricultural area as well, which will be impacted from an environmental standpoint as well as a safety concern with so many trucks coming and going from this location and having to maneuver around farm equipment that moves at below the posted speed limits. To Mr. Ford - you were re-elected by many people in this area, so why are you now turning your back on us! I'm not sure how you can sleep at night knowing that you will be ruining the livelihood of so many people in the Dresden area. You should be ashamed of yourself. And York1, you have enough money that you can go to a more remote area and purchase land to build your dump.
