The endangered species act is an imperative piece of legislation that protects species required to sustain life in our province. We as humans are connected to our environment whether we want to see it that way or not and negative impacts to the environment cause adverse implications for humans too. By reducing protections to endangered species, you put entire ecosystems at further risk than they already face due to human induced climate change. You might forget that in order to have the food we eat we need pollinators, in order for pollinators to survive they need plants some of which are at risk, if the number of predators to pollinators dwindles too low there will be too many pollinators competing for food and those species will also crash. Our ecosystem is delicate and magnificent it is interconnected and each species plays a key part in sustaining all life on earth. With that being said, diminishing protection to endangered species causes risk to other species as well and eventually a risk to humans. Your solution is incomplete and not based on evidence we need to consider the economy, the environment and society all together when making decisions for without one the other cannot survive.
