As an Ontario citizen, I am appalled that this is even a consideration. Removing any protection from endangered species, or anything that could negatively impact the environment is ABSOLUTELY BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE.
I do not care how long it takes, I do not at what cost, I CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT, ANIMALS, PLANTS, ENDANGERED SPECIES - ONTARIO & DOUG FORD CLEARLY DOES NOT.
It is 2025. We, as humans, definitely know better and know this will have negative impacts on biodiversity. If anything, I want MORE protection and red tape for our beautiful environment and endangered species. There is absolutely no reason you could give that would make removing these protections excusable. I am incredibly ashamed, disgusted, sad, but not at all surprised under Doug Ford that this was proposed.
AGAIN, NO EXCUSES. DO NOT REMOVE ANY PROTECTIONS FROM ENDANGERED SPECIES.
