I live in Dresden Ontario. I never thought I would have to fight for the safety of my town and my health, my community and our environment. The proposed dump site project that was started by YORK1 has been sold to a new company just before the environmental assessment for the property was cancelled by Doug Ford. It wasn’t even started. No steps were ever made to get things done.
This site was never a place for a dump. This site is small and there is no possibility of handling 600-700 trucks per day coming into a rural area. Not to mention that there are houses and businesses surrounding the site. But also a creek running through it that will make it difficult to fit everything considering it’s expected to run 24/7 with 600-700 trucks each day. This is a massive undertaking that requires a huge amount of land which this property does not provide!! The creek removes useable land from the acreage of the property outlines. How can you make a property like this fit 600-700 trucks per day when there are unused areas of land in this area where they claim to be putting the dump? These calculations do not add up correctly.
