This landfill site was dormant, and never utilized in the capacity that is being proposed. Allowing York1 to proceed is negligence on behalf of our ministry of environment and provincial government and lawsuits will prevail. It is a major threat to our farm land, and waterways. The location is far too close to existing residential construction. People live directly next to the location. Residential subdivision exists 1000m away. Our elected leaders need to listen to the people. Allow the local municipality to approve or disapprove such a project to proceed in their backyard. Stop the nonsense, stop York1 landfill now!!
