This landfill should not be going in in the first place and at a bare minimum there should be a full comprehensive environmental assessment at this site. This site was never a landfill to begin with. It was a tile yard and has not accepted garbage waste . Not only is this site less than a kilometre from the town of Dresden. It is also on land where there are multiple water sources such as the Sydenham river and Molly’s Creek. Many people around here are on well water and their water would be contaminated if this goes in. This landfill would have irreparable damage to the environment and species in this area. Not to mention all of the farms in this area that grow food if this landfill goes in and is going to be the size that they say it is, it is going to contaminate the soil all around this area and There will be no revenue for farmers. We also have the tomato plant in town and it will also be contaminated from the landfill. Doug Ford claims that he wants to build up Ontario and we have to act now however he is not thinking about sustaining Ontario if he ruins this land, there is no going back.
