It is clear that this proposal does not seek to maintain the balance it claims to; rather, it seeks to gut the Endangered Species Act. This is an affront to the land we live on and Indigenous land rights. Dissolving the ability to form advisory councils, allowing projects to proceed simply by registering, and giving the government the ability to remove species from the list are only a few egregious examples of the harm that will come from this proposal. I do not support this.
