I oppose this Bill for the following reasons:
This Bill proposes to allow for acting first and seeking permission later under the pretense of "registration without expert approval". Allowing developers to perform acts that endanger, harm, or kill wildlife as long as they registered, but without that registration being reviewed by an external competent expert source, will inevitably destroy and wreak havoc in our environment and upon our vulnerable species. Increased rate of development means nothing if our environment, wildlife, and fertile land is destroyed and uninhabitable for the generations to come. Ontario needs to seek ways to do right by our environment and to show other provinces and countries we can do better for our people and our land.
