The greenbelt has been created to protect our environment and wildlife. The Ontario Government has no right to destroy what we have been working on for years. We should not be allowing builders to ignore the law and we should not change the laws to allow homebuilders to bypass laws. Ford used Trump as an excuse to call an early election so he could get 4 more years in power. Yes, we need to accelerate building canada economy, but that doesn't mean he can ignore our environmental regulations to push through mines, quarries, houses, etc. Without proper consultations and permits. Builders only care about profits and the greenbelt can bring the most profit to them. There are other places with room to build in ontario (maybe areas surrounding Hamilton, Stouffville, Pickering, Innisfil, etc.) Without destroying our greenbelt.
