Reducing habitat protections for endangered species is blatantly driving these animals to extirpation or extinction. Southwestern Ontario is the most biodiverse part of Canada, and simultaneously the most overdeveloped. There is few natural land and what remains is far from what it once was. The people of Ontario do not need to lose what little natural land is left and what remains of these endangered species that have already lost so much due to habitat loss.
