We are not a bunch of small…

We are not a bunch of small-town nobodies, in Dresden, Ontario but even if we were, our lives, our children, our homes and our community are just as important as someone from a big city! We are citizens and we pay taxes, so why are we not given the same respect and have our voices heard, like anyone else! A child can figure out that this dump proposal in Dresden is a bad idea! We are not being too precious or refusing to carry the weight of the realities and necessary evils of living in 2025 but come on! You can’t shove this idea down our throats! We are not stupid! This dump would be way too close to our town! We have no emergency services around here! Our roads cannot handle the increase in truck traffic! Nobody, but nobody wants this to happen! Our rural areas have children waiting for school buses! Tractors and farm machinery use the roads and travel very slowly! Our agricultural land grows several tonnes of food every year! Our aquifer will collapse! Our water wells will be poisoned! The land proposed floods every spring! All of the liners will not stop the contaminated water receding into our river system! We have been lied to, manipulated and pandered to! We are not buying into the sneaking, lying and covering up! We don’t want to see this happen to another community in Ontario! Ontario is a huge province! Build a road where there are no people and dump away!
