I have been made aware of the proposal to add a new dump to Dresden Ontario without robust environmental risk reviews for the ecosystems, watersheds and communities at that locale. It is devastatingly irresponsible to go ahead with this project after only a short term skimming of the issues at the site. The project will likely go ahead without proper assessment and will most certainly destroy ecosystems, leaving even less habitat for our precious and more rare species, and to will lead to degradation of fresh water in the area and a toxic blight to the residents, many of whom are not wealthy and are, indeed, struggling to make ends meet. This practice you are wanting to push forward of not actually doing correct environmental assessments will continue red lining poorer communities who do not have the financial means to fight back.
