As a long time resident of Dresden I have great concerns over the proposal of a coming dump. It will only be 3.5 km from the town line. It is much too close to the town of Dresden which has 2 schools, several churches and a down town area with its only grocery store, post office, hair salons and other stores that serve an aging population. We have many seniors who drive our quiet streets and feel quite safe. An over abundance of traffic with trucks etc. will put an end to their freedom to be out and about. We are a small farming community with wagons, tractors and plows going up and down are roads. Who will be responsible for fixing our roads because they will not be able to sustain your extra traffic. Our town cannot afford that. Our property value will go down so the thought of moving is out of the question. There will be no sense in building any new houses because who would want to move to Dresden? In the last few months we have seen older people from Toronto and Hamilton area move to our quiet well kept and serviced town. Your dump would put an end to that. Surely there is somewhere else rather than prime agricultural land you could set your sights on that is not close to a well established town
