If the project's scope has drastically changed, it should undergo another comprehensive environmental assessment to ensure the protection of the environment, which people and animals depend on to survive. I oppose the province's proposal to amend the Environmental Assessment Act to remove the current requirement that the Project undergo a comprehensive environmental assessment through the proposed Protecting Ontario by Unleashing Our Economy Act, 2025.

I formally request that the government of Ontario abandon this proposal.
