We live in and around the small community of Dresden! We are not stupid and gullible people! We know a cover-up and sneaky behaviour, when we see it! If this landfill passes, we will see problems that will not be reversible! 700 trucks per day, road damage, no emergency services! Disruption of fly ash in the soil will pollute the air, ground and water! The agricultural land around here is pristine! Nobody will buy contaminated crops! Pollution will affect our drinking water, our air quality and our land! All animal and plant life (endangered species, Carolinian forest) will be compromised! Come to dresden, rent a canoe and drift down the Sydenham River! See fish jumping, bald eagles nesting, muskrats scurrying, turtles digging! It sound too good to be true but that is our home! It is simply too close to town and unnecessary! We already have two open landfills in our immediate area! Why do we need another?
