Regarding MTO Billboard Policy for Bush Country Highways:
The current policy permits one billboard every 305 metres provided that prescribed conditions are met. Please consider reducing the billboard density on bush country highways to one every 3 kilometers. The obvious reason is an aesthetic one on scenic cottage country highways. But consider this: On a bush country highway where 80 km/h is permitted, it is conceivable that a motorist could pass one billboard every ~14 seconds. This is a potentially serious distraction to safe alert motoring!
