The expansion of this landfill site without an environmental assessment is outrageous and foolhardy. If the dump proceeds, there is a significant possibility that the waterways and fields in the area would be contaminated beyond repair. This would impact not only the town of Dresden but many other towns and cities in the area. In addition, the sheer number of garbage trucks coming to the site 24/7 would ruin roads, increase pollution and noise. If Ford feels the need to dump GTA waste, keep it in the GTA instead of sending it to this rural area. Our farmers should grow food for Ontario, not provide a waste heap for the province.
