I am outraged by the proposed dismantling of the Endangered Species Act through the so-called Species Conservation Act, 2025. This is a blatant attack on environmental protection, handing power to developers at the expense of Ontario’s most vulnerable species. Gutting recovery plans, weakening habitat definitions, and allowing harmful activities to proceed with nothing more than a registration is reckless and irresponsible. This is not conservation—it’s deregulation disguised as reform. I urge you to scrap this dangerous proposal entirely.
