I am in opposition to this bill. As modernized humans it is our responsibility to be stewards of what wild lands and its species we have left. To continue our current path of destruction will only lead to our inevitable demise. We are already seeing significant changes in our lifetime from past generations, so it is certain that our children and grandchildren will have to experience and deal with our own bad decisions, which sad to say, will be tenfold to what our experiences are. We already don’t have much left, and to further corrupt the vitality of what remains is truly unacceptable. We cannot afford to do things such as this for minimal gains, as the cost will be more detrimental and exhaustive than what some of our leaders would have you believe. This is not ok. This is merely another stepping stone to our impending fallout, and simply our own extinction. We need to pay attention to our history in order to not repeat the mistakes that get swept under rugs, and in lobbyist handshakes, until it’s too late to do anything about it. We need to do better, and we needed to do it yesterday, ten, twenty, fifty, even 100 years ago. Stop the greed, stop the complacency, and stop the proposed interim changes to the Endangered Species Act!
