I am very concerned over this legislation and would like further review and assessment completed before enabling it. Further clarity in the legislation is required. The best part of being in Ontario is its natural beauty and ecosystems. I cannot abide by a government decision to enact this legislation without further review. Our natural habitat, upon which our economy exists, is too important.

Bill 5 is a sweeping legislative package that prioritizes rapid economic development by reducing regulatory barriers, especially in mining and infrastructure, but it does so by weakening environmental protections and oversight mechanisms. As such, it does not reflect my vision for a strong green Ontario, within Canada.
