With regards to changes to the Eagle’s Nest Mine Project, we strongly advocate for the need to review potential alternatives to this project as part of a comprehensive environmental assessment. We strongly believe that environmental reviews are critical and protective of the health and well-being of the environment and public. Without comprehensive assessments of the Eagle’s Nest Mine Project, we lose the opportunity to analyze and understand potential risks to water, wildlife, and human health.
In conjunction with other measures within Bill 5 that could have serious consequences to human health, we strongly recommend that Bill 5 be withdrawn.
