This is a call to STOP Bill 5, the Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act
The health and welfare of the residents and wildlife of this province are at stake - now more than ever.
Bill 5 reduces environmental protections and Ontario’s proud legacy of protections of Endangered Species. It overrides the rule of law and nullifies municipal planning authority.
The Province of Ontario must support housing and infrastructure development in ways that align with sound environmental planning and wildlife protection and empower municipalities with appropriate planning tools.
Think of your kids and your kid's kids. Think past your circle of family and friends. Future generations. We all see and are experiencing the way in which the planet is presently spiralling. The passing of this Bill will only add to the speed of this spiral. it is not a spiral upward. This is clear. You know this.
Please do the right thing for future generations in Ontario. Stop Bill 5.
