We live only a few kilometers from this dump site. We eat the deer, drink water from our well, eat fish and ducks from the water. There is creatures found in the Sydenham watershed that are found nowhere else. What about our environmental rights as humans needing clean water and air. We are not the garbage can for Toronto. The truck traffic alone will ruin families physical health and mental health. What about the productive farm land forever ruined by Doug fords greed and corruption. This is unacceptable for so many reasons, it goes against any common sense, its an attack on our lives, its totally wrong environmentally, its just plain corruption on Doug Ford. By allowing this to go through you're telling us nothing environmental matters. Another big problem with this dimwitted idea is our home and farm values. We have lived our lives here, consuming the earths bounty, saving for our future and building homes and farms. We will have to continue paying for a farm that will probably loose value. Therefore work more years saving, paying and not retiring. If we were to sell our farm in the future that means less money to live because lower value. If we sell now we are abandoning our fellow human being. This dump will destroy many lives just for Doug Fords personal gain. Shame on Doug Ford for pulling this on us. As children we swam in the Sydenham river all summer. This has also been something done by generations before and after me. There must be a bunch of endangered Fox snakes in that area, its the perfect habitat and location. Why do they not matter? This is a big mistake allowing this to continue. It slaps all of us in the face to allow this. It will ruin many family maple syrup seasons. I can't imagine sitting in the bush trying to make syrup while smelling a dump. I worked by Watford Ontario dump and it smells so bad people cannot be on their decks or patio. 60 years living in this community and it will be ruined, an entire life of preparation for a rural healthy life. A place to spend our senior years watching grandchildren grow up is now threatened. Do dollars really come before thousands of babies, children, families, old folks, first nations and mother earth? Shame on all involved in attempting to destroy our lives for your financial gain. Please do not allow this to continue for the good of all people and nature.
