I think this is probably the most heinous act Doug Ford and the Conservative Party running Ontario has done to date. First off they try to sneak these new changes in a bill that shouldn't even have any association with the Environment (beyond the average we should consider the environment of Ontario in all development), but to make it so the premier would have all say in what animal constitutes as endangered? What are his qualifications to make that kind of decision? Usually these kind of decisions are made of a committee of people who are experts - or at least have enough teaching/knowledge/experience to make informed decisions. Does Doug Ford have any kind of degrees in Biology, in Ecology, in Conversation? How can one man with no qualifications/experience in this regard take the place of many experts? As someone who is is trying to enter the field of Conservation, I am sickened at what this man and the government behind him is trying to do.

Is all this government care about is money? Do they not care for the environment? Animals? Future generations? What kind of government would take away our protected lands? What about the Indigenous people who live/depend on these protected lands? Does the government, does Doug Ford, only care about leaving a legacy behind as the premier who destroys Ontario through so-called "development"? More like destruction.

Do not let this government take away the laws protecting our lands and endangered animals! They are just as vital to this world as we are - more so actually, as they're not the ones set out to ruin the Earth.
