I don’t know whose definition of smart is being used here! It’s certainly not smart to build on lands where there’s endangered species. It’s certainly not smart to put our environmental well-being on the line. It’s certainly not smart to agree with this legislation. The only smart thing to do here is to not agree to this bill. There’s plenty of room to build houses in other areas that don’t threaten the well-being of our environment. The only reason this is being proposed is to support builders- this is not a good enough reason. Builders can build other places. There’s plenty of room in Ontario to build all of the housing that’s required without going in to sensitive areas.
